Finance Systems Manager
About the Role
As Finance Systems Manager you will be accountable for the support, delivery, and management of the Group’s core finance systems. Reporting to and working closely with the Finance Systems Director, the postholder will contribute to the strategic development and operational performance of financial technology across the business. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing key financial processes and internal controls, ensuring system reliability and alignment with business goals. The Finance Systems Manager will also lead the finance systems support desk, act as a primary point of contact for issue resolution and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the finance systems landscape. Supported applications include Yardi Voyager, SAP Concur, Blackline, Board, Fabric, and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the day‑to‑day performance, stability, and continuous improvement of the Group’s core finance systems, ensuring high availability, data integrity, and strong internal controls.
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention, and enhance control frameworks across the finance systems landscape
Lead end‑to‑end system analysis, from requirements gathering and feasibility assessment through to solution design, testing, and implementation.
Partner closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and external vendors to deliver system enhancements aligned with business priorities and strategic objectives.
Manage the finance systems support desk, acting as the primary escalation point for complex issues and ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
Develop and deliver user training, guidance, and high‑quality documentation to drive system adoption and improve user capability across the business.
Ensure finance systems operate in line with internal control frameworks, audit requirements, and data governance standards.
Support the Finance Systems Director in setting priorities, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement across finance technology.
About you
You’re a finance systems professional with strong technical expertise and a pragmatic, delivery‑focused mindset. With hands‑on experience managing and enhancing enterprise finance platforms, you’re confident owning the performance, reliability, and ongoing improvement of complex financial systems. You understand how well‑designed systems underpin strong financial control, compliance, and decision‑making—and you’re motivated by creating solutions that genuinely improve how finance teams operate.
You excel at translating finance, business, and regulatory requirements into robust, scalable system solutions, balancing control, usability, and efficiency. Comfortable working across Finance, IT, Operations, and external vendors, you build trusted relationships and lead change with clarity and structure. You’re organised, analytical, and proactive, with a strong eye for improvement—whether that’s reducing manual processes, strengthening controls, or improving reporting and insights. As a natural problem solver and people‑focused leader, you take ownership of issues, support users effectively, and contribute to the long‑term evolution of the finance systems landscape.
Key Requirements:
Strong hands‑on experience managing and enhancing finance systems, with deep understanding of ERP platforms such as Yardi, including core finance and lease management modules.
Proven ability to ensure system integrity, reliability, and alignment with financial policies and internal control frameworks.
Experience using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to develop robust financial dashboards, reports, and insights that support decision‑making and performance management.
Demonstrated capability to analyse complex finance and business requirements and translate them into effective, scalable system solutions.
Experience producing high‑quality functional documentation, including functional requirements, process maps, and solution designs.
Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to understand financial drivers, revenue models, and operational impacts within asset‑intensive or complex environments.
Experience designing and delivering training materials and user guidance to drive adoption and improve capability across teams.
