Project Manager
About the Role
As Project Manager, you are responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of data centre development and fit‑out projects at Global Switch. You manage projects end to end, ensuring delivery to agreed time, cost, quality, and regulatory standards while proactively managing risk, change, and contractor performance. You coordinate internal teams and external consultants, maintain clear governance and communication, and apply strong commercial and technical oversight to achieve operational readiness. Through a customer‑focused and continuous‑improvement mindset, you deliver high‑quality, sustainable projects that support Global Switch’s operational excellence and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading, implementing, and reviewing onsite safety procedures to ensure compliance with mandatory and industry standards.
Leading safety management through all project phases (construction, design, handover).
Regular liaison with M&E consultants and power authorities to ensure correct design and implementation of electricity supply.
Monitoring development and manage Change Control Requests and variations, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and project objectives.
Managing internal fit-outs and project close-out, ensuring compliance with design specifications and operational readiness.
Working closely with internal teams (Construction Manager, Engineering Directors, Operations Managers, etc.).
Lead and coordinate multiple external consultants, ensuring alignment with project goals and timely delivery of outputs.
Prepare and distribute comprehensive meeting documentation, including detailed minutes, action trackers, and follow-up reports.
Assist in the development of project briefs and consultant selection processes, ensuring clarity of scope and alignment with organisational objectives.
About you
You’re a proactive and organised project leader with experience delivering complex construction and fit‑out projects in technical or highly regulated environments. You bring a strong grasp of safety, compliance, and project governance, and you’re confident managing contractors, coordinating internal teams, and maintaining tight control over schedules, risks, and costs. You communicate clearly, document thoroughly, and ensure stakeholders stay aligned throughout every stage of delivery. With a blend of commercial awareness and technical understanding, you take ownership of outcomes, drive operational readiness, and consistently deliver high‑quality projects that support long‑term business goals.
Key Requirements:
Identify and implement opportunities for innovation, including strategies to de-risk projects, optimise budgets, and enhance overall quality and performance.
Provide expert guidance in contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and alignment with organisational objectives.
Evaluating construction methods for cost-effectiveness.
Standardise cost, quality, and programme control frameworks, ensuring consistency and transparency across all projects.
Capable of managing internal fit-outs, project close-out, and ensuring timely delivery.
Strong organisational skills to coordinate project plans, costs, schedules, procurement, and technical data.
Lead and coordinate multiple external consultants, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
